Klein Marks Israeli Independence Day

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ron Klein (FL-22) today marked the 61st Israeli Independence Day. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on the Middle East, Congressman Klein participated in the official Congressional Delegation to Israel, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to mark the 60th Anniversary last May.

“For the last 61 years, Israel and the United States have shared an unshakable friendship and commitment to democratic freedom,” Klein said. “As we work towards a safe and secure Middle East, we depend on our Israeli friends and partners to help us foster democracy and protect human rights throughout the region. Especially in these uncertain times, America will stand with Israel.”

“As Floridians, we have a particularly special relationship with Israel, and I have made bolstering Florida’s economic ties with Israel one of my top priorities. I join our South Florida community as we share our warmest wishes with the Israeli people this Independence Day.”
