ORLANDO, FL: Florida’s Governor Charlie Crist and Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer services Charles Bronson visited the Israel booth at the Florida Farm to Fuel Summit to discuss Israel’s water technologies and alternative energy. The Governor spoke about his first trade mission to Israel, and Commissioner Bronson mentioned possible collaboration with Israel on water technologies.

The Israel booth at the Farm to Fuel Summit has received numerous guests including politicians and businesspeople interested in partnerships with the State of Israel. Florida Senator Lee Constantine and Florida Representative Debbie Boyd also stopped by to chat with the Israeli representatives. Senator Constantine is Chairman of the Florida Senate’s Environmental Preservation and Conservation Committee and also member of the Policy and Steering Committee on Energy, Environment, and Land Use.
Israel is participating in Farm to Fuel for the second year in a row in an effort to cultivate ties with Florida’s alternative energy, biofuel, and water management sectors. Israel recycles 75% of its wastewater for agriculture and is a global leader in drip irrigation.
